After retiring from her marketing position with MasterCard, Rebecca took up yoga and began to explore other forms of movement as well, inspired by how much better she felt once daily exercise was firmly back on her schedule.
As part of this journey, Rebecca became a fan of the Classical Stretch by Essentrics® program on PBS, and found her way to the Essentrics website, eager to learn more about this unique full-body fitness program. In 2017, Rebecca decided she was ready for a new challenge, and signed up for the Essentrics Level 1 teacher certification program, which she completed in January 2018.
In addition to teaching Essentrics and continuing her education in Essentrics, Rebecca volunteers as a docent at the Florence Griswold Museum and spends time chasing after her two year old granddaughter and doing “sentrix” together. She lives in Madison with her husband, John.
As what best would be called a ‘reluctant ‘ exerciser, I entered Rebecca’s class with some trepidation. From the very start I not only felt better, but I learned the why and how of each exercise. Essentrics lives up to the promise of a full body workout and Rebecca lives up to the ideals put forth by Essentrics’ founder. Every class she amazes: devoted, patient and kind. Take the class just to witness her positive energy!”
